Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center’s specialized inpatient program serves teen boys, ages 14 – 17, who have a history of trauma and demonstrate self-destructive, impulsive and self-injurious behaviors associated with depression, mood disorder, impulse control disorder, personality disorders/traits or substance use disorder. 

Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the program helps boys learn to cope with stress, regulate emotions and improve relationships with others. Expressive therapies are also used to provide outlets for verbal and emotional expression and to promote distress tolerance and mindfulness skills.

  •  Comprehensive assessments

  • Individualized treatment plans

  • Mental health services (including medication management)

  • Individual, family and clinical group therapy

  • Recreation therapy

  • Psychoeducational groups (anger management, coping skills, problem-solving, substance use, trauma, boundaries, grief and loss)
